Your newsletter editorial team | | | | | | 1. 75 years of WIKA 2021 is all about the 75th anniversary of the WIKA Group. For this occasion, we would like to present our new video. In it, we look back at the most important milestones of our company and show how WIKA has become, on the world market, a leading manufacturer of industrial and process instrumentation.
Join us on this exciting journey through time. | | | 2. WIKA participation in trade shows Ready for exhibitions? ... steady? ... go! After almost two years without physical trade shows, we look forward to welcoming you back, in person, at Leuna Dialog on 14 October 2021. We will be happy to present our innovations and solutions to you at the WIKA trade show stand (D19).
You can also take the opportunity to speak with our experts at the MSR special trade show in Landshut on 27 October 2021.
Admission to both trade shows is free-of-charge when registered in advance. | | | 3. Flame-arresting measuring assembly As the only one of its kind so far, the model 910.21 pre-volume deflagration flame arrester for pressure measuring assemblies from WIKA has an IECEx approval in addition to its ATEX approval. This gives it broad international acceptance and also means that the requirements of the EN ISO 16852:2016 harmonised standard are fulfilled.
WIKA combines the model 910.21 with Ex-approved measuring instruments and diaphragm seal systems to form a fixed unit, which is suitable for mounting to zone 0. This protective system prevents a potential flame transmission from the instrument side to the process side in the event of a failure. | | | 4. Safe pressure monitoring for vaccine production In the production of vaccines, safety and purity are of the highest priority. To ensure this, high demands are placed on the plant equipment. The hygienic PG43SA series diaphragm pressure gauges from WIKA can reliably be used for pressure monitoring in all areas of vaccine production and there perform several tasks.
Find out more about the technical details and areas of application of the PG43SA instruments in our new blog article. | | | 5. Safety for buildings and infrastructure using force transducers The climate crisis isn't only a current theoretical topic in the IPCC report, but it's also in practice, when we have to deal with storms, landslides and floods. For the protection of geotechnical provisions in and under the ground, WIKA has many years of experience and a lot of know-how with robust hydraulic force transducers. | | | 6. 10 years of WIKA on YouTube In addition to the company anniversary, there is another reason for WIKA to celebrate this year: the WIKA YouTube channel is 10 years old. Having started with a short animated film, there are now almost 300 videos in more than 12 languages on the channel. In them, we explain our products and solutions and their areas of application, answer frequently asked questions or give you insights into the WIKA group of companies in a short and understandable way.
Watch our new videos about the latest OEM pressure sensor for mobile working machines, the MH-4, and our instrumentation valves and don't forget to subscribe to our channel. | | | 7. Level measurement with submersible pressure sensors In our new technical article "Reliability on a cable", we explain the functionalities and diverse areas of application of the submersible pressure sensors from WIKA, specially developed for hydrostatic level measurement. These are easy to install and can be operated permanently in almost any liquid. | | | 8. Digitalisation of SF6-insulated switchgear Within the scope of advancing digitalisation, more and more companies are using SCADA systems to control and record process data. However, primarily, only the data of a running process is evaluated, but not the status of the system itself.
In SF6-insulated switchgear, this lack of monitoring can present two major sources of danger: leakage and moisture. Great potential for preventing these hazards is offered by SF6 condition monitoring via online monitoring. | | | | Find out more about the group of companies. | | | | | | Inform yourself about our latest blog posts. | | | | | | Take a look at our WIKA social media channels. | | | | | | | | © 2021 WIKA Alexander Wiegand SE & Co.
