Industrial high-speed pressure controller The CPC3050 high-speed pressure controller is the latest measuring instrument in the series of precision controllers from Mensor. Featuring an innovative controller, it was designed for fast pressure control in industrial environments and is capable of executing 25 % increases in pressure in less than four seconds with 0.020 % FS accuracy.
The CPC3050 maximises throughput in industries like oil & gas and automotive manufacturing, but can be used whenever speed and accuracy are needed. It comes in high-pressure and low-pressure versions with customisable measuring ranges, a 10:1 range limit ratio and auto-ranging. | | | 3. Be there – Calibration seminar in July 2022 Following a successful seminar in May, WIKA are offering the next calibration seminar in July. Find out more about the calibration of pressure and temperature measuring instruments. You can register easily via our website. We're looking forward to your registration for the calibration seminar on July 14, 2022 with a joint evening programme on July 13, 2022 and to welcoming you to our labs at our headquarters in Klingenberg. | | | 4. High-pressure needle valve with matching accessories For the instrumentation of high-pressure applications, WIKA has provided a new series of fittings and accessories. The models can be combined with the corresponding ball or needle valves from WIKA. The fittings are designed for pressures from 1,034 to 4,136 bar (15,000 to 60,000 psi).
The sensitive components − spindle tip and sealing − are made of suitably resistant material. Furthermore, the valve has the same characteristics as the other WIKA needle valves: low-wear operation due to the non-rotating spindle tip, smooth handling with low torque and leak tightness tested to BS6755/ISO 5208 leakage rate A. | | | 5. Innovative CryoTemp design for extremely low-temperature measurements Thanks to the global use of hydrogen, extremely low-temperature measurement during transport and storage is becoming more and more relevant all the time. With the CryoTemp design, WIKA provide a suitable option for all relevant temperature measuring instruments for this superior application.
In laboratory trials, resistance thermometers (Pt1000) and thermocouples (type E) were tested for their suitability in cryogenic applications. The special design of the CryoTemp impressed with its high precision of +/− 3 Kelvin at −253 °C. The test data of the lab trials served as the basis for calculating new polynomials in the range of −258 °C to −200 °C used in the configuration of WIKA measuring transducers. | | | 6. WIKA measuring instruments ideal for gas monitoring To ensure the adequate monitoring of gases, WIKA offer measuring instruments and sensors for fitting manufacturers. As the industry is constantly being further developed, more and more innovative solutions have to be developed as well. Our segment manager for industrial and medical gases spoke about existing technology and solutions for the energy transition in an interview with gasworld. | | | 7. Protecting people, the environment and industrial plants Safety systems are also becoming increasingly important and complex since machinery and plants are carrying out more and more and, with higher productivity, the hazards are generally also increasing.
Guidelines and standards have been created to help every plant operator to operate his or her plant to the highest levels of safety. Failure analyses and risk assessments serve as a basis for decision-making. The aim is to reduce the risk presented by a technical system to an acceptable risk by means of safety measures.
This brochure gives an overview of functional safety and presents suitable sensors with application examples. | | | 8. Measuring instruments with diaphragm seals - Which process connection for which application? Measuring instruments with diaphragm seals are used in many different applications. The many requirements of different industries necessitate a customised solution at each respective location.
Would you like to know which diaphragm seal is the right one for your measuring instrument and which diaphragm seal system is suitable for your process? If so, watch our latest video, where we answer these and other questions ranging from threaded connections to sterile connections. | | | 9. Hydrogen mobility: a drive with loads of future potential Would you like to gain insight into the topic of hydrogen mobility and the future potential that comes along with it? If so, read our two new blog posts, which illustrate the properties and advantages of vehicles with hydrogen-powered fuel cells. You'll also learn how our special pressure sensors can provide support for your hydrogen applications here.

Over the past two years, the classic relay competition wasn't possible due to the COVID pandemic and the associated restrictions. We're all the more pleased that it can now be held again given the current state of things.
As in previous years, following the marathon, a concert with regional bands will be held on the WIKA factory premises.
Would you like to take part in our relay marathon with your colleagues? Until 15 July, you have the opportunity to register yourself and your team using the link below. As a participant, spectator or concert visitor, we look forward to welcoming you.
