Your WIKA newsletter "Measure what can be measured, and make measurable what cannot be measured." (Galileo Galilei)
Welcome to our first newsletter in 2023. We are happy to be measured by our quality and once again have many exciting topics from the WIKA world up our sleeve.
Enjoy reading our news.
We wish you and your family a nice and relaxing Easter. Your newsletter editorial team | | | | | | 1. WIKA participation in trade shows in spring 2023 In the first half of 2023, you'll find us at ISH in Frankfurt (until 17 Mar), Hannover Messe (17 – 21 Apr), MSR special trade show in Leverkusen (26 Apr), Leuna Dialog (27 Apr) and Control in Stuttgart (9 – 12 May). Solutions and stimuli arise, above all, through dialogue – make use of the opportunity to discuss your applications with us. The trade show team will be pleased to welcome you to our stand! | | | 2. IIoT solutions at the world's leading trade fair for industry The focus of this year's Hannover Messe from 17 to 21 April 2023 is on measurement technology for the hydrogen sector and the digitalisation of processes with smart instruments (IIoT).
We provide you with an added value by combining and using digital measurement data to support your digital transformation. To achieve this, we rely on a wide range of signal transmission solutions.
Look forward to our constantly growing portfolio of IIoT solutions for your applications. Our experts await your questions and projects at our stand, no. C28 in Hall 11.
We will gladly provide admission for you. Simply click on "Request a ticket". | | | 3. Electronic pressure switch for hygienic applications The PSD-4 electronic pressure switch is the universal solution for industrial automation tasks. Thanks to EHEDG and 3-A certification, the pressure switch is also suitable for industries with high hygienic requirements. Due to an accuracy of < ±0.5 % and minimal long-term drift, it permanently ensures an accurate representation of the process pressure for more than 100 million load cycles. The pressure switch is available with a digital output signal as well as a switchable and scalable analogue output. In addition, it can also be easily monitored via the self-diagnostics. | | | 4. Your partner for biotechnological processes Biotechnological processes are used to manufacture products in which one or more biotechnological techniques are applied. Application areas include the production of bacterial and viral vaccines, toxoids and similar products, such as allergen extracts, sera, plasmas and other blood derivatives, for human or veterinary use. Measurement technology from WIKA delivers process-specific information which enables high-quality production. For this, the safety, the hygienic requirements in the design of the measuring instruments and the connection of the sensors to the production plant are fulfilled optimally. Via the global sales and service network, experienced employees are always available to you for the selection and commissioning of our instrumentation solutions and also for calibration and maintenance operations. | | | 5. Cool competence – Measuring instruments for your cooling applications Manufacturers of cooling systems understand how important it is to be able to rely completely on every single component. That is why WIKA focuses on the reliability and accuracy of the measuring instruments, as well as strong delivery performance. On our website you will find the most important measuring instruments that WIKA offers for the different modules of a cooling system. So that the system can run properly and efficiently, all the measuring instruments must work accurately and reliably. With the help of our new presentation, you can quickly and easily find the desired product for your application. | | | 6. New momentum in the field of force measurement WIKA is expanding their already extensive range of force products in the online shop with hydraulic force transducers: Compression force transducers and ring force transducers are now available from stock.
Depending on your needs, you can choose between analogue pressure gauges with drag pointers and digital pressure gauges. The analogue displays are notable for not requiring electricity to operate; the digital displays excel with a lower relative linearity deviation. The force transducers are supplied in a practical transport case. | | | 7. Latest from the WIKA YouTube channel In our two latest videos, we go into more detail on the topics of hydrostatic level measurement and setting the switching point for mechanical pressure switches.
With the help of our explanatory videos, you can find out about a wide variety of topics and products from WIKA whenever you want. Just visit us on YouTube and subscribe to our channel so you won't miss any more videos. On our website, you can also find an overview of all the videos. | | | 8. Be there – Calibration seminar in April 2023 Also this year, WIKA offers calibration seminars – our calibration seminars on the topic of calibration technology let you expand your know-how, further your practical knowledge and keep you abreast of the latest developments. Don't hesitate and register with us for the calibration seminar in April.
You can register easily via our website. We're looking forward to your registration for the calibration seminar on 27 April 2023 with a joint evening programme on 26 April 2023 and to welcoming you to our labs at our headquarters in Klingenberg. | | | 9. Diaphragm seal system detects level in PTA reactors Diaphragm seal systems are ideal for many processes in the chemical industry as a resistant and safe measuring solution, for example, to monitor the level in a reactor using differential pressure. Precisely for this task, a manufacturer uses such a measuring arrangement with an integrated differential pressure transmitter. In view of the aggressive medium and the measuring location in the reactor, their reliability depends primarily on the diaphragm seal.
Read our full article to learn how you can perform optimal level monitoring with our instruments and also subscribe to our newsletter to be kept up to date by e-mail. Our authors are happy to share their knowledge and to answer your questions. | | | 10.
