Seventy years on, the new customs border between the UK and the EU has joined thousands of other global corridors that now use TIR. With new Middle East trade corridors showing time reductions of up to 92%, and Egypt recently becoming the 77th country to ratify the UN TIR convention, European and British hauliers and shippers are again eyeing TIR as a simple, fast and secure post-Brexit transit solution.
