Unrivalled worldwide With the loading and unloading of ships, speed and safety are what matters: overload protection is therefore a duty and saves lives. The ELMS1 overload protection system from WIKA has been successfully used worldwide for cranes which can lift up to two containers at the same time. Certificates are available for this, which also saves a lot of work during the acceptance testing of the overload system. The certified system which for the first time enables the simultaneous lifting of four containers is now a world first. | | | | 3. Robust needle shut-off valve, model HPNV, for high-pressure applications WIKA's model HPNV features low-wear operation due to the non-rotating spindle tip, smooth handling with low torque and also a tested leakage rate A in accordance with BS6755/ISO 5208. The sensitive components, such as the spindle tip and sealing, are made of suitably resistant material.
The high-pressure valve is available in various configurations and materials. WIKA also offers a customer-specific assembly of valve and measuring instrument, which is delivered ready-for-installation and leak tested. | | | | 4. Portable instrument for multiple calibration tasks in the field The new model CPH8000 multi-function calibrator from WIKA makes on-site calibration even more efficient. It measures, among other things, pressure, temperature, current, voltage, frequency and pulse signals and is available as a hand-held or in a case version with integrated pressure pump. Optionally, the calibrator is also available as a HART®-compatible version or with ATEX approval.
The CPH8000 is easy to operate via a large touchscreen and can display up to four test procedures simultaneously. At the same time, it has a powerful data logger and a very large memory capacity. | | | | 5. What is a monoflange? Monoflanges are particularly used in the process industry, since, unlike traditional valves, they can also be used in processes involving aggressive substances. They are available in various designs: as a simple variant, block-and-bleed variant or double-block-and-bleed variant. With respect to workmanship, WIKA places special emphasis on the smooth operation of valves, even under high pressure.

China Compulsory Certification (CCC) for electrical thermometers from WIKA Since 1 October 2020, the import, sale and use of explosion-protected electrical thermometers without a CCC certificate is no longer permitted in China. Therefore a corresponding certification is necessary for resistance thermometers and thermocouples. Various electrical thermometers from WIKA are already CCC-certified and may therefore be used in China.
