New instrumentation valves The Model BV instrumentation valve is compact and can therefore also be integrated in space-restricted environments, like a control panel. Thanks to its robustness, the model BV is suitable for heavy-duty applications and processes with critical media. The new model CV check valve, with its redundant seal, self-centring piston and one-piece construction, ensures high repeatability and a long service life. The model IBF1 valve, with flange connection and exclusive shut-off function, enables direct connection and is optionally fitted with a ball valve or a needle valve. | | | | 3. What is a thermometer thermowell? Besides the protection of the temperature sensor as well as workers and the environment, thermowells have another important function – they allow the sensor to be cleaned and replaced during the process. WIKA thermowells are differentiated through three different designs and are connected to the process either by flange, by screw-in thread or by welding. Level monitoring in bioreactors and food applications The model FLM-H magnetostrictive level transmitter has proven to be a highly accurate measuring solution in fermenters and bioreactors. For similar, but less sensitive processes in the food industry, for which level solutions are also required, the model FLR-F reed level transmitter is now available. Both measuring instruments work on the float principle with magnetic transmission. | | | | 5. Safe lifting with the FRKPS chain hoist test set In order to operate chain hoists safely, users are obliged to carry out regular inspections of their hoists. Many national bodies stipulate that all lifting equipment must be checked regularly. This provides for the safety of people and machines.
To avoid awkward handling of weights, the proven FRKPS chain hoist test set from WIKA can be used for chain hoists with friction clutches. Here, the force transducer covers a measuring range from 40 kg to 3,500 kg.

Leak-proof instrumentation valves for the prevention of fugitive emissions Countless small leaks in instrumentation valves from various manufacturers can cause fugitive emissions to escape into the atmosphere. To prevent this, WIKA's IV1x/IV2x needle valves, IV3x/IV5x valve manifolds and IVM monoflanges are equipped with various safety features and a special colour code.
